Nigerian's abroad get mixed review

This week, the action from Europe’s top-two club competitions, the Uefa Champions League and the Europa League returned and as always, there was Nigerian interest in both.
Nigerians are currently involved with clubs in both competitions and supersport.com now rounds up the best of the action in an enthralling week of club football on the old continent.
Uefa Champions League
Fernando Adi was in action from the start for København in Tuesday’s game against two-time European champions, Juventus in a dramatic contest that finished 1-1 at the Parken.
The 22-year-old who was substituted after 70 minutes has been in sparkling form in Denmark’s Superliga where he has scored two goals in three league games for København this season.
Ahmed Musa boasted in a pre-match interview with supersport.com that champions, Bayern Munich would be stunned by CSKA Moscow at the Allianz Arena on Tuesday but on matchday, Musa and his teammates were schooled in the complexities of football at the highest level as Die Roten strolled to a 3-0 win.
Musa who cut a lonely figure upfront most times was eventually given a breather after 74 minutes with Konstantin Bazelyuk taking his place.
It’s a shock that Chinedu Obasi continues to stay on at German club Schalke 04 even when it’s now obvious he’s not rated by the Die Knappen’s manager, Jens Keller.
Obasi who has yet to taste action for Schalke in any competition this season was predictably overlooked as the Germans defeated Steaua Bucuresti 3-0 at the Veltins Arena on Wednesday.
It’s been a strange season so far for Super Eagles midfielder, John Obi Mikel and the rollercoaster continued on Wednesday as the Blues suffered a shock 1-2 reverse to Swiss club, FC Basel at Stamford Bridge on Wednesday.
The Nigerian midfielder was thrown into the fray by Jose Mourinho as a 76th minute substitute for Marco Van Ginkel on a night Blues supporters will want to forget about in a hurry.
Chuba Akpom’s education at Arsenal continues at pace.
The youngster, who came on for Olivier Giroud at the death in Arsenal's 3-1 Premier League success at Sunderland last Saturday, was an unused substitute as the Gunners pinched an invaluable 2-1 win over French side, Olympique Marseille at the Stade Vélodrome.
Efe Ambrose and his Celtic teammates were left cursing their luck as two goals from AC Milan saw the Bhoys lose 0-2 to the Milanese at the San Siro.
Ambrose, who was booked after 66 minutes following a cynical trip on Sulley Muntari, played all 90 minutes of the tense encounter.
Uefa Europa League
Ezekiel Imoh was surprisingly not listed as Standard Liege lost 1-2 at home to Danish club, Esbjerg at the Stade Maurice Dufrasne.
Imoh has scored two league goals for Standard Liege this season.
Okechukwu Irobiso had a night to forget as Fiorentina smacked Portuguese club, Paços de Ferreira 3-0 at the Stadio Artemio Franchi on Thursday.
Irobiso played all 90 minutes of the encounter.
Brown Ideye and Lukman Haruna were both involved as Dynamo Kyiv lost at home, 0-1 to Belgian club, Genk at the NSK Olimpijs'kyj.
Ideye was substituted after 52 minutes with Diumerci Mbokani taking his place while Haruna also made way, late on in the second half for Oleg Gusev.
Nosa Igiebor played all 90 minutes for Real Betis in the club’s 0-0 draw against Olympique Lyonnaise at the Benito Villamarin.
Ogenyi Onazi played the entire game for SS Lazio as the Italians edged a tight contest with a 1-0 win against Legia Warsaw at the Stadio Olimpico.
Dele Adeleye is steadily going about his business in Russia with FK Anzhi Makhachkala.
Adeleye played all 90 minutes for Anzhi in the club’s 0-0 draw against Moldovan side, FC Sheriff Tiraspol.
Adeleye was booked at the death in the encounter decided at the Bolshaja Sportivnaja Arena on Thursday night.
